A modern Jane Eyre graphic novel in the works

Apparently, there’s a modern day Jane Eyre graphic novel by Archaia Publishing is in the works. It’s entitled Rochester, and Fox 2000 paid “low seven figures” for the rights to it. Screenwriter Aline Brosh McKenna (The Devil Wears Prada) is on board to adapt the manuscript, and she’s worked in the medium before so I should think Jane and Edward are in good hands.

There doesn’t seem to be any particular timeframe for when Rochester is due out, but if they’ve only just bought the rights and started hiring people, then we’re probably looking at 2014 at the very least.

Sounds interesting, though, doesn’t it? 🙂

Traxy Thornfield

A Swedish introvert residing in Robin Hood Country (Nottingham, UK) with a husband and two cats. She's an eager participant in tabletop and play-by-post roleplaying, woodworking, photography and European travel, when there's not a plague on. Might get a novel out one of these days, if she doesn't get too distracted along the way.
